Page Content
- Visit Get Connected at volunteer.jxxwj.com to see local volunteer opportunities and see a list of local organizations. This is the best place to find and sign up for local volunteer opportunities.
- Request a one-on-one service consultation to find opportunities and/or information best suited to your specific interests, needs and/or schedule.
- Want to volunteer but don't have a car? There are a few options on campus to serve (email cceFREEMississippi for info) but you can also take the Hub City Transit Blue Route to several locations! See our map for bus stops and schedules.
Service Hour Tracking & Reporting
- Report Service Hours at http://volunteer.jxxwj.com/ (the Get Connected platform).
- Check out Report Service Hours to watch a step-by-step on how to report your hours. Students who earn 100 service hours by graduation should apply for Citizen Scholars!
- Check out a step-by-step video on how to manage/view hours of a group you belong to or oversee.
- User groups can be used to track group and individual service hours. An example of a user group would be a student organization or a service-learning class. Submit this form to Request a User Group, Get Administrative Access, or Update Student Org Roster
- People who need verification of service hours should still have volunteer supervisors sign a Volunteer Service Log. We cannot provide proof of service without a volunteer service log. You can upload it to "Files" on the Get Connected platform for safekeeping.
- We "approve" hours that adhere to certain guidelines.
Recruit Volunteers
If you are looking for volunteers, please use the below links to create a profile and post opportunities on Get Connected, USM and United Way of Southeast MS's online platform for service. You can make opportunities visible only to certain groups or to the public. Volunteers can use the web or use the Cause Connect app to “search” for your opportunity, "sign up", then “check in/out” to earn and report hours.
- To publicize your opportunity to both USM and the Pine Belt community, create a profile and opportunities on the United Way of Southeast MS's Get Connected site.
- To publicize only to USM students or if you are otherwise unable to create a profile using the above link, you can complete this form for us to post a volunteer opportunity for you: http://usmforms.formstack.com/forms/service
